Finnish Pinwheel Cookies
Finnish Pinwheels Cookies - Makes 2 dozen cookies

Dough
1 ½ cup flour
½ cup white sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup butter softened
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ½ tablespoon heavy cream
Flavored jams
Preheat oven to : 325 degrees
1) In large bowl combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
2) Cut in butter in small pieces mixing as you go.
3) Blend in egg, vanilla and cream.
4) Form into a ball and place on a floured board.
5) Roll to a ⅛ in thickness and cut into 2 in. squares.
6) Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Make 1 inch slits in corners.
7) Place a ½ teaspoon filling in the center of each square. Bring every other corner up into center to form a pinwheel and press lightly.
8) Bake at 325 * for 12 minutes or until the points are light golden brown.
